4me PD is just a fun and fitness
ReplyDeleteand a way to find new friends
but my boyfriend is amazed with this my opinion. He sees in PD only my sexuality)) Cant stop staring with mouth opened)))
so different views - such an adventure! :))
Everything about Poledancing is my life. I love it. In every single way. <3
ReplyDeleteOnce you made a picture of one girl who was dancing poledance (like a stripper kind of) and it said "What others think of" and then on the right side you had a picture of three poledancers in a competition, and it said "What poledancers think of" or something like that. I feel like that every single day, cause people always thinks I'm a stripper when I tell them that I dance. At first I tought it was.. a pain in the ass actually, haha. But now I only think it's funny so I can tell them more about poledancingen, and the tricks, spins, competitions and the diffrent dancers. <3
I love your comics and illustration, your are such an artist, I pole dance too, it's my passion :D
ReplyDeleteAdventures are all about leaping to the unknown, then challenging yourself and letting the outcomes of that reward you. That's how pole dancing is to me!
ReplyDeletePole dancing is an adventure for me because it's never the same workout twice, because I always get to experience something new, and because I have gone on some crazy, fun adventures with the girls I have met through pole dancing!:)
ReplyDelete(The link to your tumblr in the Rafflecopter form is incorrect, it's supposed to be http://leenisabel.tumblr.com/ :)
My relationship with pole is not just physical strength or increased flexibility for me, it's the best therapy I've ever had. I leave a workout session feeling strong, confident, and down right pretty. Not things I am terribly used to feeling yet, but it hangs around a little longer each time. =D It's an adventure in feeling awesome!
ReplyDelete:-) this is why i dance too. It feels so good to do "pole therapy" the whole world fades away and i just dance! I feel stronger inside and out every class :-)
DeletePole dancing is an adventure to me because it challenges me physically, it gives me confidence, and allows me to express myself through dance.
ReplyDeletePole dancing is an adventure cause there's always something new to learn, do, modify, ect. It's never the same thing day in day out (I'm looking at YOU, running) and the sport itself is in a constant state of growth.
ReplyDeleteI love pole dancing! I've been doing it for a few months now and the more tricks I learn the more I want to do. I love the rush I get when I finally get a trick I've been working on for a while or when i learn a new trick/spin/combo. It's just a fun and challenging workout :)
ReplyDeleteI find pole dancing is like playing on an elementary school playground. Makes me happy!!!
ReplyDeleteWow that is a great give away idea! I love it and your comics and I'm such a huge fan! :D
ReplyDeletepole dancing is an adventure for me in the sense it's help me to develop as a person. Before pole I was shy and extremely introverted and antisocial. Although Im still considered a SAP (socially awkward penguin) I find that I'm growing every day. I was awkward and a huge tomboy just because I was not comfortable with my body, but pole is helping to change that :)
ReplyDeletePole dancing IS an adventure. It is an unusual and thrilling experience each time. I am exploring my own ability to do things I'd never thought possible! When I nail a new trick, whether for the first time trying it or after practicing for a thousand times... it is a wonderful moment, but only one of many... this is the adventure of pole dancing!
ReplyDeletePole dancing is always an adventure!! Its like I am on a great treasure hunt. Instead of jewels, gold or the holy grail, the treasure I find is something about ME!! Every time I dance, whether it be by myself or in the studio for class I see something new. How my knee pit grip has gotten stronger, how sexy-sweet I look when I do that one spin, or just plain ol' how awesome I am ;) Dancing has helped show me so much that I never noticed before.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I pole dance, I'm not sure if it'll be an off day or the day I get something I haven't been able to get for a while. It's a constant evolution of my physical capabilities and personal development. I have always struggled with dancing and "letting go" and having fun moving my body, and pole dancing has really helped to make me feel more comfortable in my own skin. I also feel really lucky to have some awesome ladies taking the adventure with me!
ReplyDeletePoling for me isn't a workout, it's play time. It's being able to be a kid again and swing around on the monkey bars and playing with what my body can do. It's fun! I'm sad when I can't do it. How many work outs can you say that for! Yet it is a work out. I'm probably the strongest I have been in a long time. :)
ReplyDeletePDing is such a rush! I teach it now and I love sharing my passion with others and seeing them get addicted just as I did. That's my adventure!
ReplyDeletePole dancing is an adventure to me because I never know if I will be learning a new trick or finally able to perfect an old one. It is challenging and exciting and I absolutely love it.
ReplyDeletePole dance is an adventure for me because I am constantly finding out new things about myself. I am strong. I am sexy. I am confidant. Pole dance has led me to try things I never thought I could do. Dancing in a showcase, competing. I love what pole has done for my life!
ReplyDeleteWhat makes pole dancing an adventure to you?
ReplyDelete~ Well I've stepped out of the overly conservative herd and dared to do something most people would never dare do. I've won and lost friends in the making. I've gotten bruises, burns and made loud thuds. Said my "oh i can't"s and turned them into cans. Casting off a hermit shell, I've stepped into the great unknown of pole and never plan on leaving. Its an adventure. An addiction. A passion I've long missed.
What makes pole dancing an adventure to you? ... For me is the way that i found myself. It was really difficult for me to get in shape, I'm too short and I was too fat! But since i've being flying all around i never feel happy, healthy and most of everything, good with myself. No matter how much bruises i get, how often do I get burned with the pole, is just the way people see me more committed to myself. I even dream with new moves! It's crazy and I love it!
ReplyDeletePole Dancing has not only become an adventure but has changed my life in so many ways. Many people have tried to hold me back from pole dancing because of their opinions of PD but I through their attempts to make me stop I found my back bone and said "No I won't give up something that has helped me lose 60lbs, get in the best shape I have ever been in and give me a art that allows me to become myself and express that self to the world."
ReplyDeletePD helps me continue to challenge every aspect of my life. I could never give up pole dancing it has become a part of who I am.
Pole dancing is an adventure because there's something new and challenging to learn or relearn every day. I hadn't had a real sport or physical discipline that could challenge me since high school, but the first time I took a pole lesson, I know I had found a challenge to really sink my teeth into!
ReplyDeletePole dancing is an adventure because I can scale incredible heights, perform death-defying feats, and work until I'm sore, sweaty and bruised...all from the comfort of my very own room!
ReplyDeletePole dancing is such an adventure every day! I'm a naturally tiny girl, who always struggled with being underweight. I started pole dancing, and I've managed to gain about 10-15lbs of muscle, which is so incredible. Each day I can go to my pole, and think of something new to try or improve or tweak. I love to push myself, and pole definitely lets me do that!
ReplyDeleteWithout Pole I was seriously unfit, after leaving school I wasnt doing any regular exercise, but now with pole and more recently hoop Im building strength and staying healthy :)
ReplyDeleteI love pole - it's so much more fun than going to the gym, and having other people there to support you and congratulate you on finally achieving various moves makes it so much better! I hate how it still has such negative image, which unfortunately some studios still try to enforce. In my opinion pole fitness is less sexy than most forms of latin dance, but it is still the one that gets the negative reputation.
ReplyDeleteI like Your blog. It's fantastic :)
ReplyDeletepoledance for me is... the first time I really like sports. also, it makes me feel really good about myself - not just my body, but myself in general. I was bullied in school, for about ten years in total, with people telling me I was ugly and not worth beeing with them and whatnot. I do know, and did before pole, that I'm not ugly and have a good body, but sometimes the old scars and some new wounds just break up and hurt again. since I do pole, I can go and grab it, hang upside-down a bit, concentrate on nailing new moves (the superman right now, by the way ^^) and get a grip on everything again.
ReplyDeleteand I love the shoes. pleasers <3
because it brings the sexy back, it's the perfect excuse to leave all the inhibitions out the door and be and do whatever you always wanted or imagined to, moreover, it's the perfect exercise to work all the body
ReplyDeletePole dance is an Adventure to me because its ALWAYS challenging and the way people look at you when you mention pole dancing is a hobby. Got to love it! I love the progress you feel almost daily and just watching a fellow friend pole or a fellow student brings back all the motivation i need to try bigger and better moves! LOVE POLE!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE POLE DANCING, EVERY CLASS IS AN ADVENTURE COS ALWAYS LEARN SOMETHING. I REMEMBER THAT I CAN´T CLIMB AND NOW I CAN DO A LOT OF THINGS, I ALSO ENJOY MY IMPROVEMENT AND SPEND TIME WITH MY POLE FRIENDS.
ReplyDeletePole dancing is an adventure that will never be finished. That's why I love it. From my first class, to two and half years later, there is always something new to learn. Sometimes I learn about the sport, sometimes about other people, and a lot of time, about myself and what I can accomplish. : )
ReplyDeletePole Dancing is an adventure for me because there is always something new to accomplish. I can keep moving up and forward everyday with my classes. My body has changed so much, plus my confidence is at an all time high for me. It's amazing to be a part of the pole dance movement in the early stages still and help other women to have the experience I have had with it. I can't wait for the next step in my pole dance career ;)
ReplyDeleteWhere to begin! I have been doing pole dancing for 3 months now and WOW what an adventure it has been. Learning a new trick every week and progressing on ones I learned the week before is AMAZING. I have no dance/athletic background and always thought of myself as challenged in those areas. Not only have I proved myself wrong (and continue to do so) but having other women around to cheer me on has been very empowering!
ReplyDeletePole Dancing is an adventure to me because I learn things I never thought I would and it has opened me up to an amazing community of fun, caring, giving, people I never would have met - who can appreciate the love and pain of pole !
ReplyDeleteFor me, it's the never ending possibilities. Even while striving for a new trick, I can see where the next set will take me, and often advance in something I'd completely forgotten. I still struggle with the same nemesis trick (for about a year now) but so many other aspects of my dance have grown.
ReplyDeleteFrom when I started just over a year ago right up to today, pole dancing has been an adventure. Like most adventures it's sometimes painful and difficult but it's also been inspiring and fun. I've learnt that I can accomplish things that i couldn't before and work hard to perfect the things I still can't. I've grown stronger physically and also more confident. Oddly it's given me something I didn't imagine it would....pole dancing's given me the ability to care less of what others think about my decisions and concentrate on what makes me happy. After all, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had more than a few judgemental looks at the mention of my hobby.
ReplyDeletePole dancing is an art and most definitely an adventure- an adventure I continue on and am thankful I ever started :)
Love Pole Dancing Adventures! And your giveaways! The comics are usually exactly how I feel and the giveaways are always so fun! :)
ReplyDelete(Pole dancing allows me some me-time. It allows me to free myself from care and worry about everyone else and what they'll think of me. My pole studio (and my basement) is my sanctuary.)
ReplyDelete-Amber de Light
I just stumbled across your blog and was rolling on the floor laughing! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeletePole dancing lets me have an awesome time and spend time with friends while doing a fun exercise. I love challenging myself and learning new tricks. I also love that my teacher never makes us do awkward sexy-stuff and if we can't manage a trick, she'll try teaching us another one :)
ReplyDeletePole dancing is a lot like being five and on the playground again. You don't notice the sweat or the (numerous) bruises, because you are too busy climbing like a monkey, and twirling and whirling. It's done right joyful, and I always leave class feeling happy.
ReplyDeleteBonus: since I started taking classes 6ish months ago I'm the healthiest I've ever been. I keep inviting people to the "miniature gun show". It's so cool this re-discovery of my body and the truly awesome things it can do. Every class I push a little harder and it feels like something new clicks.
I'm hooked for life.
Pole dancing is an adventure because I have discovered how strong I can be and all the amazing things my body is capable of!
ReplyDeleteI love my pole dancing adventures, especially the challenges a new pole trick can bring. First time learning a trick/pose I'm not always successful and find myself mostly the last in the class to get the trick. I just walk it off and try again the next time in class... and what do you know, the trick came out on it's own. It amazes me everytime ^^ Everyday, everytime getting stronger whoohoo~
ReplyDeletePDA is like a comic of my life, drawn half way around the world!
ReplyDeletei really love my pole dancing adventures , it is like so comprehensible , and i just really enjoy every single comic you post , its just so amazing!
ReplyDeleteMy Pole adventure is when I go to the park at the lake and I finally nailed the invert. I'll never forget how amazing that was :)
ReplyDeleteSadly i dont really use my twitter~ but i've always loved every PDA i've seen~ <3 all soooo true!!!
ReplyDeleteBecause my future self dream is stronger, more confident, more graceful, more flexible, and so awesome. Every day of the getting there from here is an adventure which revolves around pole. p.s. Nailed my first bottle rocket yesterday without smacking myself in the face with a hand or falling to my doom! \o/
ReplyDeleteI love pole! I was very nervous in my first class. In the last year I have become braver. I am more confident. I am physically stronger. I have muscle definition, well a little. I have bruises I am proud of. I can do tricks I never thought I could do. I love inverting! I love my pole class friends. Some of us have been going every week together for my last year. It is not just fitness, fun, and sexy. It is friendship. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI have never been particularly flexible, or particularly athletic for that matter... and being able to fake people out so darn well makes pole dancing a serious adventure for me! ;)
ReplyDeleteSince i was a girl i wanted to learn pole dancing but in my country it was not a sport or something you can learn at the gym, but since two years ago pole dancing has become more popular and I have been training in a pole dancing studio.
ReplyDeleteFrom when i started to now it has been a constant challenge, it tests my security and shows me that I can be persistent.
That's why pole dancing is an adventure for me, that's why i'm totally in love with pole dancing: it's my B side.
My pole dancing adventures started about six months ago, when I took a chance on a discounted intro class. I was immediately hooked! In the time since then, I've gained a lot of strength, lost some fat, and gotten a whole lot braver. I entered my first novice competition a couple of weeks ago, and even though I didn't place, I couldn't believe how awesome it felt to perform. I've gone back to school to finish my degree -- hey, if I can dance in booty shorts, who gives a rat's a$$ what anybody thinks about a forty-something undergrad? And pole dance has encouraged me to cross-train in order to build up strength and flexibility for pole (I just started training for an obstacle race/mud run).
ReplyDeleteEvery week brings a new adventure that spirals out from my pole obsession. Now, if I could just nail a shoulder mount...
Pole dancing has been such an adventure in learning the strength of my own body. I seriously thought I'd never be able to do a pull-up in my whole life. It took a lot of time, but now I do what I once thought impossible.
ReplyDeletePole fitness always brings something new to the table. Every time I reach a goal there's another one in sight. Plus fighting gravity makes me feel like a god.
ReplyDeletePole dancing is always an adventure because every new trick is a challenge of some kind - I never know what it is going to take from me and how my body will respond, and sometimes, it changes from class to class!! I love that something will totally throw me one week, but three weeks later, I can do it! I love that I go into class never really knowing how each class will go, so I have to be present and enjoy it as it comes! Plus, you know, I feel like I could give Indiana Jones a run for his money in the bruise department! :-)
ReplyDeletepole dancing is an adventure for me because I can overcome my limits, I become a stronger person and more confident. I've never been so happy since I started practicing.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are awesome! Pole dancing is one of those rare activities in life that not only allows me to be myself, but also who I strive to be everyday: a sexy, confident, powerful woman who can bring a man to his knees with a simple arch of the back or flip of the hair ;)
ReplyDeletePole dancing is an adventure because the combinations of tricks and transitions is endless. The excitement of learning new tricks never goes away.
ReplyDeletePushing myself and finding out what I am capable of makes pole dancing a great adventure for me!
ReplyDeletePole dancing is an adventure to me because every new move is a new challenge to overcome! As you journey farther into your adventure, you achieve more and more and are able to take something greater away from it. There is always a new experience to be had when you walk into a studio!
ReplyDeletePoling is fitness, strength and beauty expressed in one form. Every since I was a child, I have admired gymnasts and dancers for their flexibility, strength and fluidity. My dream of becoming one went unfulfilled for a long time. When I discovered pole dance, I felt it embodied everything I desired in regards to self-expression. The strength, grace, sensuality, and confidence I've gained in this art has been just the adventure I've been yearning for. :)
ReplyDeletePole dancing is an adventure to me because it allows me to experience the satisfaction of being able to do cool stuff I never thought I could, hanging upside down from one leg is something I wouldn't have dreamed I could do and every new move makes me feel like I can climb the Everest:3
ReplyDeleteIt's doing something amazing, challenging and completely unexpected.
ReplyDeleteWhy it is an adventure? the whole experience of learning a new style of dance. the feeling of an accomplishment of a move that you thought you may not nail. Increasing my fitness, strength, confidence and flexibility with just one sport. Everything about pole dancing - high's and low's (including the bruises)! :-)
ReplyDeleteIn a week I complete one year of pole dance. Since then, there is nothing in me that has not improved, except, maybe, my hair. I became able to overcome myself, to see my own progress, to learn and teach, to defy gravity, to create something beautiful, and it all makes life more rewarding and adventurous.
ReplyDeletePole dancing is a part of a journey that I'm on. I'm a new mom (I have a toddler and I'm expecting a little boy in January), I'm transitioning from relaxed (chemically straightened) to natural hair and I'm constantly restarting my pole progress. While I had a brash crash course of pole in the beginning as a stripper (I was in the best shape of my life!), I eventually transitioned toward the actual art that is pole dancing. I've learned so much more about myself and I've met some of the most amazing people through pole dance. It brings so much joy to my heart that I can get fit, be graceful, flexible and sexy, all at the same time :)
ReplyDeleteGetting out of my comfort zone and performing in front of people (even if it's just small scale).
ReplyDeleteThe PDA comics are great... and show what pole dancing for fitness is really like, I relate to so many of them... thanks for keeping them coming.
ReplyDeleteGirl, you always keep it real!! Every comic is completely relatable
ReplyDeleteits an adventure for me because i have so much against succeeding but i refuse to give up :)
ReplyDeleteIt's an adventure because I haven't started yet! I need to call to reserve my spot.
ReplyDeleteI've never been very athletic, so each time I train it's an adventure! I never know if I'm going to nail the trick or fall (luckily that's only happened once...) or learn a new combo or maybe even nail a trick I didn't know I could do before!
ReplyDeletePole Dancing is both the adventure and highlight of my day. I feel accepted in my studio, and it is wonderful to have something so goal oriented in my life where I can (typically) feel some progress, no matter how the rest of my life is going. And who doesn't love to be upside down??
ReplyDeletePole dancing is adventure because every time I learn a new move my confidence builds. I feel like a new woman & it's all because of the pole. I love pole dancing & every class is a great adventure that can't wait to return to.
ReplyDeleteI love how you manage to capture the fun and exhilaration felt while pole dancing in your comics! I'd like to eventually have all of your prints to hang in the studio!
ReplyDeleteThe studio I attend could definitely benefit from your public service notice... Our teachers get frustrated reminding everyone. ;)
ReplyDeletePole is the BEST!!
I have never been interested in doing sports or any kind of physical movement. I really wanted to do something that will be different and jump out of my personal and uni life. Pole dancing is definitely doing it for me. I can be a totally different person. Change into outfits and present my skills on a pole in front of a camera. It's like a dream come true...I'm also so happy that I can say I do a sport and that I actually do something that isn't so easy that everyone can do it. I'm just filled with happiness when I pole dance.
ReplyDeleteIt's a challenge to do, a challenge to explain, and a challenge to find the time to get my butt up there and get going! Equals...adventure! Well, that's as adventurous as this mom can get right now!
ReplyDeleteYAY for Pole Dancing!! =D
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome idea for a give-away!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to start a long time ago, but caught a "9-month-comdition" which should be all better by the end of October. LMFAO Can't wait to start!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll start in two weeks, so excited about it ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you have this comic. I always have something to look forward to that I KNOW will make me laugh. It makes my pole journey all the more satisfying!
ReplyDeletePole dancing is a fun way to get or stay in shape and feel great about yourself!
ReplyDeleteI never was a sports girl so from the beggining I knew pole dancing was gonna be an adventure to me, and at this time it has been the best adventure I've been through!! Everytime its a different challenge, I find myself doing things I'd never imagine I could and having a lot of fun while accomplishing all of my goals on the pole, that makes me feel stronger, more confident and has had a super positive impact in my daily life, this incredible adventure has helped me to know and accept myself completely and to realize that I can do anything I want :)
ReplyDeletePole Dancing for me was the kick start I needed to look down the road of self discovery and start walking. It's been already a been a long (and sometimes painful) journey and even though I'm not there yet, I have discovered that I can be strong and sexy, and that strong and sexy doesn't come from the validation of others or from "without" it all comes from "within" and it's not something that anyone can take away from you!
ReplyDeleteEverything about pole dancing is an adventure to me. Up until I started I had no interest in any form of exercise whatsoever and suffered really badly for anxiety. I was weak and as a waitress could not even lift plates at work easily without hurting my arms and wrists. Learning to pole dance changed my entire life. I learnt to do things I would never think possible and my strength has more than doubled. It has also encouraged me to try all sorts of new things and I am actually looking forward to the future for the first time in like 10 years.
ReplyDeleteLove your comics. I find myself agreeing with them all the time. They're just so true!
ReplyDelete
