What is it with cats and pole dancers? In every home video, there's at least one feline lurking in the background...

    1. The one featured in the comic is Leelu (orange kitty in the video.)
      The grey one is Zula.

  8. Just a question from a pole newbie (also, I really love your comic!), what kind of pole do you own? A friend and I are looking into buying one, and we're both beginners, but don't want to just get a cheap novelty one that will break if we decide to get more serious about it. She and her husband are also fairly handy, so we've considered doing a DIY pole, do you know of anyone who's done that?

    1. I should specify that we're looking to set it up in her garage, and it would be nice if it were quasi-detachable so that she can remove it when she needs the space.

      I've found that lately, I love brass poles from Platinum Stages. It's extra, super sticky (at least for me), but I've never had a problem with other finishes. Beware of creating your own pole because if the metal has burrs in it, you could potentially scrape or cut yourself on them. Buying a pole-dance pole from a reputable company insures that you will have a pole with smooth and safe finish to practice on.

  15. I just loved this picture!! Is a funny fact from pole dancers, including me! Jajajaj
    When I saw it, couldn't stop laughing because it reminded me once i was training at home and give kicks for stretching , my little cat just wanted to play with me and jumped to my leg and I kicked my cat. :(

    Now everytime he sees me training, runs away fast.
